What a fabulous Science Week at Skegness Junior Academy this week! So much amazing learning has taken place. We have completed some joint investigations with Skegness Infant Academy.
Szymon was sent to the head of school's office today to receive the first gold coin for our new book vending machine after earning the first gold head of school award. He said, "This is the best day in year 6."
Y6 have been using data loggers to see how sound has an impact on our environment.
This morning we had a visit from UK parliament education, who spoke to our academy all about the British value of democracy. They met our school council and spoke about elections.
Our Eco Warriors have launched our new recycling challenge. Our aim is to collect as many plastic lids as possible. These will be converted into Earth tokens we can use to exchange for recycled products for our academy
Year 3 have had a special visitor today!
We enjoyed all the activities relating to Science!
Today we had a terrific performance from a number of our budding musicians across years 3 and 4 They performed songs using both a P buzz and a Ukulele. A huge thank you to Miss Burton from rhythm and steel Alford who has been teaching our children how to play these instruments.
What a great morning in Year 4! We have had our second Times Table parent vs child competition this year!

During summer 2021 we have adapted, updated and redesigned our curriculum to recognise the challenges which have happened during the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of this on the children's education and experiences.
